Jodi Morris

Jodi Morris is a native Arkansan,  born and raised in Northeast Arkansas. She worked for Arkansas State Parks and Arkansas Game & Fish before joining the National Park Service as an interpretive Park Ranger presenting education programs, guided tours and special events for the public and managing the museum collections and assisting researchers from students to filmmakers with historic research.

She also taught canoeing, kayaking, and other outdoor skills. 

With Master’s in Antropology (Univ. of Memphis) and Heritage Studies (AR State Univ.), she has been an adjunct instructor for ASU, Philander Smith, and UA Pine Bluff for many years, teaching courses in history and geography. 

Jodi first moved to Little Rock in 2009 as a Park Ranger at Little Rock Central High National Historic Site. She took early retirement in 2018 to care for family members. In 2022, she joined the Central Arkansas Library System as a Specialty Programmer the same week she closed on her house in Broadmoor. She joined the board in 2023 and re-certified as a lifeguard to help at the Broadmoor Swim Club. 

Jodi is an avid reader, published author and loves hiking, kayaking, dogs and bicycles. She is a certified Central Arkansas Master Naturalist and Pulaski County Master Gardener. She volunteers with Friends of the Ouachita Trail, Little Rock Parks & Recreation, Bicycle Advocacy of Central Arkansas and Keep Little Rock Beautiful.
